Owner-led and powered by unparalleled execution, we specialise in solar, wind and energy storage projects, from design, planning and financing through to construction and operation.


With rapid expansion globally, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Group Controller to join our team in Latin America (based in either Bogota, Colombia or Mexico City, Mexico).


This is a rare opportunity to kickstart your career in Renewable Energy, and acquire global working experience. You will join an established, well-funded and proven renewable energy team in a high profile, high impact role.


Role overview


Reporting directly to the CEO and global CFO, you will be responsible for global FP&A, processes & controls, tax & treasury, audit processes and reporting to the management and shareholders, covering initially 5 countries and over 20 legal entities. As the company grows, you will shape our financial framework and build the function. 


This is a role for a candidate with solid finance background as controller, or FP&A, looking to broaden his or her career.

The role can progress into Group Controller, or Regional CFO.


Job Description

The core component of the role is the reporting, planning, budgeting and administration; on all levels, internal and to investors and stakeholders. This includes cash management, investor reporting, AP/AR, management reporting and business intelligence.


Secondly, the candidate will oversee all processes and controls, implementing a control framework, both in finance and the other functions, ensure compliance, lead implementation and improvement.


Finally, the candidate will be responsible for regional statutory- and tax compliance, support risk management, as well as audit processes.


Duties

  • Reporting and analysis towards management, investors, functions, on all levels and details;
  • Senior management liaison for all management reporting, eyes and ears of the board;
  • Lead monthly cost and budget discussions with business units, prepare annual budget;
  • Coordinate with Asia and LatAm business unit accountants;
  • Manage controls and processes within and beyond finance;
  • Apply & strengthen global control framework (design, definition, IT, compliance, reporting, improvements);
  • Cashflow management, planning, optimisation;
  • Financial and non-financial risk management and reporting;
  • Tax planning and compliance;
  • Overview finance & process digitisation and automation;
  • Audit supervision.

Job requirements


Profile

  • Education in accounting or finance, local CPA, ACCA or CIMA preferable;
  • 5-15 years of working experience;
  • Solid finance base in accounting, FP&A controls, international business, process management and compliance;
  • Experience with working in ERP system (Dynamics, business central, netsuite, SAP, …) or advanced cloud accounting;
  • Understanding of international transactions including intra-group and currencies;
  • Experience in capital intensive and/or investment-driven environment;
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
