Project Manager (Health & Safety Experience)

With rapid expansion plans in Asia Pacific, we now have an exciting opportunity for dual role as Head of Projects Asia in Philippines or Thailand. This is a rare opportunity to join an established, well-funded and proven renewable energy team in a high profile, high impact role.

Role overview

Reporting to Head of Operations (APAC) in Thailand, you will be responsible for leading and supervising all Projects in Asia.

Location: Metro Manila, Philippines or Bangkok, Thailand.

Note: Only applicants who fulfil legal requirements to work in Philippines will be considered.

Country Project Manager:

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of solar projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Evaluate project performance and implement improvements as needed.

Project Health & Safety Manager responsibilities:

• Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Proven experience managing solar projects from inception to completion.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience project management
• Confident communicator in English
• Ability to deliver under pressure while supporting peers in a collaborative environment
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country
• Experience in Power, Infrastructure, or Renewables is a plus
• Understanding of Power Purchase Agreements is an advantage
• Proven experience as safety manager with relevant certifications.
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
