Entoria Energy is a global private developer, investor and operator of renewable energy solutions. We are headquartered in Singapore and have an active presence in more than 10 countries, mainly in Asia Pacific and Latin America. We specialize in photovoltaic power generation and energy storage projects, from design, planning and financing to construction and operation. The current pipeline under development exceeds 2 GW in more than 10 countries, ranging from 20 kW installations to 600 MW installations. Entoria Energy is also expanding its wind portfolio, as well as other renewable energy sources.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Professional qualified in environmental areas, basic sciences or health and safety at work, with the responsibility of developing, monitoring and continuing the implementation of the environmental, social and corporate governance management plan for compliance with international standards, specific requirements of our investors, lenders and other interest groups.
The ES&G/ H&S manager will interact with the different departments in search of the harmonization and implementation of health and safety policies at work and will be responsible for the unification of the unified HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) standards compliance manual for our suppliers and contractors, including the implementation and rigorous monitoring of our standards.
You will be responsible for managing effective interaction and communication with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to sustainability and corporate responsibility. You will carry out ESG risk assessments and develop mitigation and continuous improvement strategies that must be reflected in the environmental, social
and corporate governance management plan.
You will develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines and prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. You will evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the company’s MD Asia/CEO who will approve any review or modification made to the company's ES&G and H&S systems and policies.
SCOPE OF ACTION
The scope of action will focus on different countries in South East Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
The ES&G / H&S Manager will be required to travel regularly to the different locations where Entoria is developing, building or operating projects, so that he or she can learn about the projects firsthand and hold face-to-face meetings with the parties involved in them.
Job requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education
Degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, biology, geology, or geography
Masters in environmental consulting, health and safety.
Knowledge and training in IFC (International Finance Corporation) standards is desirable.
Experience
Experience in implementing environmental, social and occupational health and safety management systems, following local and international regulations, preferably under IFC regulations and standards.
Be a consultant or have participated in environmental and social consulting processes. Not exclusive.
Socio-environmental experience for the management of renewable energy generation projects.
Experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of environmental and social management systems, including relationships with environmental authorities, communities and interest groups.
Knowledge of the process, monitoring and compliance with socio-environmental permits and licenses.
Experience in the development and implementation of socio-environmental practices, policies and procedures.
Knowledge of international financing standards such as IFC standards and Equator Principles.
Knowledge in the identification of hazards and the assessment of occupational health and safety risks.
Have knowledge of quality management systems and corporate governance.
Have knowledge of environmental and social laws, updates or modifications of each country in which the company operates.
Experience in conducting trainings and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
Experience in reporting on health and safety awareness, issues, statistics and trends.
