from design, planning and financing to construction and operation. With rapid expansion plans throughout Southeast Asia, Entoria is looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing Technical Team. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this role is an exciting opportunity for you to make high-impact contributions to the business of an established renewable energy company.
Overview
Reporting to the Engineering Manager APEC, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of project planning costing and design in countries within the Southeast Asia , and occasionally support other activities. This role is a full-time position.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Note: Only applicants who fulfil legal requirements to work in Vietnam will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design solar energy systems based on project requirements, including energy yield assessments, solar system sizing, and energy storage system design and sizing.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for proposed projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the project design meets specifications, including the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), project costing, and breakdowns.
- Provide technical support during project implementation and construction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project development.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
- Provide customer service to clients as required**
**Entoria aims to foster a lean and agile organization through collaborative practices. Team members may from time-to-time be involved in supporting workstreams outside of their usual scope of work.
Job requirements
- University Graduate with degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in solar project design and engineering.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, with a minimum requirement of proficiency in PVSyst and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Confident communicator in English and Vietnamese
- Ability to deliver under pressure while supporting peers in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to learn about the solar and renewable energy industry.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the country.
- Experience in Power, Infrastructure, or Renewables is a plus.
- Understanding of Power Purchase Agreements is an advantage.
- 5 years of relevant experience as a minimum.
